This is a second illustration that I created for Fraser Simons RPG book "Yonder". For this one I had pretty much free reign and I used that freedom to experiment a little bit with my workflow. I skipped the sketch phase and started directly with a value sketch. After coloring the sketch I went smoothly into rendering. I've also experimented with a bunch of new color variation brushes that I hadn't used in commercial project up to that point because I was still lacking a bit of practice. This project helped me a great deal to build my confidence into the new tools.
